Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, and protective coatings.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine painting requirements and project scope.
• Perform residential and commercial painting tasks with attention to detail, including trim carpentry, fixture installation, and restoration work.
• Execute specialized techniques such as stucco application, industrial painting, masonry finishing, and concrete surface treatments.
• Identify and address surface imperfections through patching and plastering; perform drywall repairs as needed.
• Assist with renovation projects by supporting carpentry tasks like framing, remodeling, or masonry work to ensure seamless project completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting within residential or commercial settings; familiarity with construction site protocols is essential.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate finishes that meet client specifications and design standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution.
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations of area/volume, and mixing ratios; familiarity with schematics is a plus.
• Experience with related trades such as carpentry (trim or frame), plastering, masonry, or welding is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
