Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to increase sales and meet store goals
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store remains clean, attractive, and well-maintained
- Conduct product demos when necessary to educate customers about new or featured items
- Maintain accurate cash drawer handling and perform daily cash register reconciliations
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in regular restocking efforts
Requirements
- Dress & Appearance: Appropriate clothing attire and closed toes shoes
- Be able to handle rush hour customer traffic and orders
- Previous retail sales or grocery store experience preferred; familiarity with retail math and merchandising is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cashiering operations required
- Demonstrated supervising experience or ability to oversee daily store functions is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills essential for engaging with shoppers professionally
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and grocery items enhances customer interactions
