Day Porter

As a Day Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the grounds and exterior areas of our property are always presentable and well-kept. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy being outdoors, and are attentive to detail. Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will help create a positive first impression for everyone who visits our property.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all exterior grounds, including walkways, roadways, and parking lots.
• Remove trash and debris from all outdoor areas and empty exterior trash receptacles regularly.
• Rake leaves, prune trees, and care for flower beds and landscaped areas according to established standards.
• Keep the grounds equipment storage area organized and tidy.
• Ensure the grounds vehicle is clean inside and out at all times.
• Clear building entrances of trash, cigarette butts, leaves, and similar debris daily.
• Water plants as needed to maintain healthy landscaping.
• Inspect parking lots and outdoor areas for cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
• Perform additional grounds-related tasks as assigned by the Engineering and Maintenance department.
• Report any dangerous conditions or safety hazards immediately to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate relevant findings and recommendations to the Facility Manager as needed.

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility for maintaining a clean environment.
• Physical ability to perform outdoor work, including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and safety guidelines.

Offered compensation: $23/yr - $26/yr
