Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of inventory management, logistics, and process improvement. This role is vital in ensuring efficient distribution, accurate inventory control, and adherence to safety standards within a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team, coordinate shipping and receiving activities, and implement best practices to optimize warehouse performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, and materials handling
- Manage inventory control processes using Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations to ensure timely delivery and order accuracy
- Lead and train warehouse staff in safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and operational procedures
- Coordinate with logistics providers, 3PL partners, and internal departments to streamline processes
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety standards
- Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other mechanical equipment for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and ensure proper storage practices
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and maintain a safe working environment
- Develop schedules for team members to meet operational demands in a dynamic environment
- Support e-commerce order fulfillment processes with attention to accuracy and timeliness
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision roles with a strong background in warehouse operations
- Expertise in inventory management, inventory control, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and logistics software such as OSHAs guidelines
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment including forklifts and other heavy machinery
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
- Knowledge of 3PL operations, e-commerce fulfillment processes, and heavy lifting techniques
- Ability to analyze workflows for process improvements that optimize productivity
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations to maintain safety standards within the warehouse environment
