Job Summary
The MSP Lead serves as the senior accountable leader for delivery of all Project Management Services under the MSP model. This role is responsible for managing all Project Managers, Project Engineers, and functional Leads, ensuring consistent, integrated execution across all project nodes and cross-functional teams. The MSP Lead operates as a single point of accountability to Program Leadership, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, quality, and KPI performance in alignment with Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) standards.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Governance
- Provide overall leadership of the MSP organization across all project nodes and functional areas
- Act as the primary interface with Program Managers and stakeholders
- Ensure alignment with governance, escalation procedures, and decision-making frameworks
- Lead development and execution of the Program Management Plan and Node-Level strategies
Team Management & MSP Delivery Model
- Lead, manage, and develop all:
- o Project Managers
- o Project Engineers
- o Functional Leads (Controls, Construction, Project Controls, C&Q, etc.)
- Ensure balanced workload, proper staffing levels, and resource capability alignment across the program
- Implement a scalable staffing model aligned with project phase and demand
- Drive consistency in execution across all nodes under the MSP model
Cross-Functional Integration
- Ensure seamless coordination across all and external stakeholders, including:
- o GFD, C&Q, HSE, Construction, Project Controls, Procurement, Ops Readiness
- o EPCM firms, design partners, and contractors
- Drive integrated planning and execution across disciplines
- Remove silos and proactively resolve cross-functional risks and conflicts
Project Delivery Oversight
- Ensure all teams deliver against:
- o Scope
- o Schedule
- o Budget
- o Quality and safety expectations
- Enforce structured project management processes aligned with standards
- Oversee risk, change management, and issue resolution across all nodes
Performance Management & KPIs
- Establish and implement KPI framework aligned with Client expectations:
- o Schedule adherence
- o Cost performance
- o Reporting accuracy
- o Resource utilization
- Deliver:
- o Executive dashboards
- o Monthly program performance reports
- o Steering Committee inputs
- Drive corrective actions based on performance trends
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Provide executive-level reporting and program insights
- Lead monthly and weekly reporting cadence across all nodes
- Present program performance to Client leadership and governance forums
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to:
- o Client SOPs, procedures, and work instructions
- o GMP and regulated environment requirements
- Maintain all program documentation, reporting, and audit readiness
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field (Project Management, Construction Management, etc.)
- 10 years of capital project delivery experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale programs (> $50MM projects)
- Proven leadership of multi-discipline teams in a complex project environment
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to influence and drive results across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience (API, OSD, sterile, packaging, etc.)
- Experience with:
- o GMP environments
- o Construction and project controls
- o Automation and engineering disciplines
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience managing within an MSP or program-level delivery model
- Experience with PMIS tools:
- o SAP, Primavera P6, Unifier, Power BI, Tableau
Additional Requirements
- Onsite role (Houston, TX)
- Travel up to ~25% as required
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, mega-project environment with aggressive timelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
