Wenger is seeking a skilled and motivated Equipment Technician to join our Technical Service Department. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Wenger extruders and related equipment. On a Given Day, You May
- Provide on-site technical service and support during field visits
- Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer locations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Conduct equipment testing and ensure operational stability
- Deliver technical training to customers as needed
- Maintain safety standards and follow client specifications
- Be available for work outside regular business hours, including weekends and holidays
- Understand extrusion processes for pet food, aquafeed, human food, and industrial starches
- This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical or electrical skills who enjoys problem-solving and working in a customer-facing, travel-intensive role.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, preferred
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, electrical components, or industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a technical environment
