Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for the GS-0335, Computer Clerk and Assistant Series. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT/PREVIOUS FEDERAL EMPLOYEES: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-07) or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Applying a wide range of computer techniques, requirements, sources, supply systems, operational policies, and procedures; utilizing computer equipment, internal computer processes, application/utility programs, and magnetic media; and implementing analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles to identify system failures and take corrective actions to resume normal operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR APPLICANTS WITH NO FEDERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-08) or equivalent in other pay systems. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

- Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems and their interfaces; and higher level programming languages and other job control languages.

- Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems, and to provide user support.
- Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Administers and maintains Logistics Readiness Squadron information systems hardware.
- Recommends selection of, installs, upgrades, and maintains software.
- Serves as the Logistics Readiness Squadron network security officer.
- Provides guidance, assistance, and training to customers.
