1st SHIFT WASTE WATER PRODUCTION
General Summary: JBS is seeking quality, motivated people to join the JBS team as general laborers in our Waste Water department. This role will involve janitorial responsibilities, along with a variety of other duties as assigned. Candidates who excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are looking for a position with strong potential for growth will be an ideal fit for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Executing waste water operations
- Must keep work areas clean and follow proper safety protocols
- Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively
- Expected to work at high speeds
- Heavy lifting required
- Participate in upholding our safety culture by notifying supervisors of any hazards
- Water sampling & critical system mentoring
- Centrifuge & Brown grease operation
- Environmental Cleaning (Non-Mechanical)
- Maintain cleanliness regardless of production schedule
- Monitor pumps and storm water support.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs
- Able to work in extreme temperatures
- Self-motivated / High sense of urgency
- Able to perform under high stress situations
- This position follows a 12‑hour rotational shift schedule (3‑on/4‑off and 4‑on/3‑off cycle).
- English reading and writing competency
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Working Conditions:
- Production and maintenance settings
- Exposure to various chemicals and machinery
- Extreme temperatures, strong odor, and loud ambient noise
