Job Title: Maintenance Training Superintendent

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Training Superintendent must have a broad experience base in Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and Electrical Power applications. The supervisor should have a solid understanding of the Local Production mix and equipment located at the plant of assignment.
ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Position is responsible for supporting the maintenance training program. Trainer will aid and support for maintenance team member's progression within the DuPont/Pilgrims maintenance training program.
The maintenance trainer will facilitate the Training Program. The program consists of training modules, hands-on lab, and field training. Trainer will support the progress of each team member and provide appropriate feedback to the maintenance training supervisor. The Trainer, with the assistance of Plant Vendors, conduct specific equipment training unique to the plant of assignment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to complete all courses in the Maintenance e-Learning Program. They should be at least one Level ahead of the team members training.
- Must be able to demonstrate Maintenance Skill Level Labs to trainees.
- Must be able to maintain team member personnel information including all training certifications and summary reports.
- Must maintain a supply of demonstration lab manuals for mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, VFD, PLC, electrical and safety.
- Must maintain a stock of tools required to perform labs and common skills worksheets.
- Aid and support of Training Program. Includes implementation through execution.
- Track and document that team members are receiving required time in training program. Give feedback to maintenance supervision if not meeting requirements.
- Provide timely assistance to team members on progression through training.
- Spend time in plant verifying team members' hands-on training and comprehension.
- Develop and maintain testing lab equipment and classroom.
- Continual development of training curriculum specific to plant needs.
BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical trade certifications or degree is a plus. Multi-skilled maintenance background preferred. Must have the ability to support people toward achieving personal and plant results.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must have strong writing ability and comprehend a strong vocabulary.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English is required.
- Must be able to meet requirements for public speaking with a class of 10 to 20 students.
- Must be a motivational speaker with the ability to inspire and encourage success.
- Must have strong computer skills proficient with Microsoft Suite, Word and Excel. Company standard SAP procedures.
