JOB TITLE: LeadVehicle Maintenance Mechanic (Truck Shop) 2nd Shift
LOCATION: De Queen Arkansas
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to oversee and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be out of 60-day probation.
- Six month's experience with Pilgrims De Queen required.
- Must have a good attendance record with 2 points or less.
- Oversee, from a mechanical standpoint, truck equipment.
- Perform PM on the equipment
- Prepare work orders for any defects found during the PM inspection.
- Must be able to work safely
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Oversee daily shop operations
- Repair and maintain all system of a Class 8 tractor (we do not perform major engine repairs)
- Perform DOT inspections
- Replace filters, brakes, and tires as necessary
- Perform electrical diagnosis
- Diagnose problems and repair as needed
- Communicate with drivers to address maintenance issues
- Perform preventative maintenance
Work and daily jobs will be assigned by the Service Manager
Able to work nights and weekends
- Ability to work walking/standing for long periods of time
- Must be dependable
Ability to work without close supervision
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Vocational School preferred
