QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work in a refrigerated, noisy environment with possible slippery floors
- Wear required safety equipment
Extended walking, standing and lifting, or carrying 100 pounds or greater
Ability to work required hours including scheduled Saturdays and call-backs
- Speak, Read, Write in English
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required
- 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of ground beef processes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure area is properly staffed to meet operational needs
- Ensure the safety of all employees working in the ground beef area
- Oversee the performance, hiring, and training of ground beef supervisors
- Manage the movement of bids, new hire placement, and turnover reduction
- Maintain a good working relationship with Technical Services, USDA, Union, and Maintenance employees
- Monitor expenses in the area
- Oversee equipment in the area to ensure it is running correctly and that area has adequate equipment for employees
- Ensure area is properly sanitized
- Facilitate and/or participate in group meetings
- Ensure company policies are being followed
