About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Food Truck at McGuire AFB, New Jersey.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles. Must have knowledge of defensive driving techniques and regulations. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks and steps. Must be physically able to handle objects weighing up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Must be able to exert light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning or moving hands, feet and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Exposed to high temperatures, hot surfaces and cutting utensils. Experience which demonstrates knowledge of cash handling techniques. Experience dealing with the public. Must be able to read, speak and write English.
Responsibilities:
Operates a motor vehicle to transport and deliver food and beverages throughout Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. Ensures products are delivered to customers according to quality standards established by management (i.e., freshly prepared foods delivered hot or cold, as appropriate, and in a timely manner). Accepts patrons' orders over the telephone. Describes menu items to customer, explaining various product combinations and options. Submits order to cook for preparation of food items, assembles order for transport. Performs and documents vehicle operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing vehicles. Assists food service employees in the preparation of simple food items for delivery/carryout/restaurant. Cleans, cuts, chops and dices vegetables, salad or other food items. Removes soiled dishes, trays and utensils. Cleans tables and counters, sweeps floors, empties and sanitizes waste cans. Receives payment for amount indicated on sales slips and gives correct change. Verifies cash on hand against total cash received and completes cash reports at end of shift.
