About the position: This position is a Flexible Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) position assigned to the Ft Eustis MINI PARK on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. This position is a Week-End Only position. This is a NTE(not to exceed) that will end on 30-SEP-2026.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group
activities or programs: and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment. rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has Involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned.
Position must have cash handling experience. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Must be able to continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Position requires current state drivers' license. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Responsibilities:
Issues equipment. checking for proper ID. verifying certification for equipment rented, i.e., boater safety. etc. Receives returnedequipment, ensuring equipment is clean and damage free. Mini Park duties include manning go-carts. batting cage and putt-pun
golf areas. Instructs/demonstrates equipment usage/safety. Provides general Instruction on equipment. Maintains fleet of rental
equipment to include. but not limited to, recreational vehicles (RVs), boats -jon boats, skiff's. etc. pop-up campers, canoes. kayaks. dunking booths, gas/charcoal grills, travel trailers, lawn equipment. bounce houses, tables/chairs, canopies. Assists and/or
performs ground maintenance on areas assigned to Outdoor Recreation. These areas include the RV park, cabins, garden plots, dog park, horse stables, mini park. etc. Grounds maintenance Includes mowing grass using push and riding mowers, weed eaters,
blowers, edgers, spread mulch, etc. May be required to remove snow/ice and deploy preventative measures. Performs general
maintenance/repair of equipment. May be required to empty and flush gray tank, as required. Performs general housekeeping
duties, as required, i.e., cleaning restrooms, trash removal, assisting housekeepers at cabins, etc. Performs other related duties as assigned.
