Sr. R&D Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and authoring test methods for new products, design changes, sustaining projects, and marketing support.
- Supporting the design and development of necessary test fixtures.
- Developing test plans, workflows, and protocols.
- Working with the Lab supervisor to ensure the availability of necessary resources (personnel, equipment) to execute the planned testing.
- Leading the execution of testing activities per defined test protocols and methods.
- Coordinating, training, and overseeing the activities of support personnel.
- Performing necessary engineering and statistical analysis of collected data.
- Authoring and reviewing formal Technical Reports documenting testing results.
- Supporting root cause analyses for testing-related activities.
- Preparing and presenting formal reports on testing status and results.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in test engineering, specifically in the medical device industry.
- Expertise in developing robust test methods, protocols, and technical reports for product verification and validation.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience in test method development, design verification, stability testing, benchmarking, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and chemical laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis, calibration standards, and SOP creation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product development, quality, and marketing teams.
- Prior experience with regulated industries, especially medical devices.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) for designing test fixtures and related equipment.
- Experience supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Exposure to clinical testing or supplier visits.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
