John Bowman Inc, also known as JBI Construction, has been in business for more than 60 years providing the Department of Defense with quality commercial construction services across the Front Range. Our customers include US Space Force, US Air Force, US Army, US Army Corps of Engineers, Veterans Administration, National Institute of Standards & Testing, NOAA, City of Colorado Springs, Federal Center, Federal Aviation Administration, among others. We are currently seeking a long term, Regional, Superintendent to supervise all of our commercial construction projects (up to 10 or more at a time) at Buckley Space Force Base. This position is open to those currently living in the Denver/Aurora area.

Skills
- Have excellent communication, coordination, organization, and scheduling skills.
- Have a detailed understanding of all commercial CSI Division trades (Divisions 02 -- 33) being performed at each JBI project on the Base.
- Be familiar with the tools used onsite and oversee their proper usage and maintenance.
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand civil, demolition, structural, architectural, fire protection, fire alarm, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and communications drawings and specifications.
- Have a detailed understanding of, and a willingness to enforce, all OSHA and other safety rules/regulations.
- Be proficient in the use of email, Microsoft Office Suite (eg Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Primavera or MS Project scheduling platforms is a plus.
- Prior commercial construction experience at local Department of Defense facilities is a plus.
- This position may require you to lift materials weighing as much as 100 lbs.
- Ability to walk, sit, kneel, climb, twist, squat, bend, type, and run errands as needed.
- Work in close proximity to potentially hazardous machinery with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.
- Work on concrete, uneven surfaces, and at sites with excavated dirt where construction debris may be found.
- Generate tasks regularly for Subcontractors and JBI Trades for each JBI project on the Base
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and in compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Oversee each project's jobsite throughout the day to ensure that workers understand instructions, perform tasks safely, and report/correct any problems.
- Maintain an open line of communication with JBI Trades, Employees, Subcontractors, various onsite Inspectors, Engineers, Suppliers, and other relevant persons.
- Perform weekly Tool Box Talks, develop and maintain daily logs, 3 week look-ahead schedules, and other documentation as required.
- Must have your own, individual method of transportation and a valid Driver's License (REAL ID), vehicle insurance, and registration.
- Minimum of 3 years recent commercial experience as a Construction Superintendent. Residential, service, or maintenance supervision is not preferred.
- Due to the importance of safety in this position, all applicants must be fluent in English. Fluency requires the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- Motor Vehicle Report and background will be checked on all qualified applicants.
