Experienced Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Opening Bartender

JB's Hideout in Blue Mound is seeking an EXPERIENCED FRIDAY, SATURDAY, & SUNDAY OPENING BARTENDER to join our JB’s Family. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving drinks and food, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable experience. You will play a key role in maintaining the bar area and collaborating with other staff members to deliver outstanding service.

The shifts for this position will consist of:

• Every Friday 11:45am-5pm (until 7pm from time-to-time)
• Every Saturday 10:45am-4pm (until 7pm from time-to-time)
• Every Sunday 10:45am-5pm

**MUST BE AVAILABLE TO TRAIN DURING WEEKDAY OPEN SHIFTS**

If available and when needed, other shifts would include:

• Sunday 5pm-12am
• Monday-Thursday 11:45am-5:30pm & 5:30pm-12am
• Friday 4:45pm-at least 10pm; 10pm-3am (starting time could be earlier from time-to-time)
• Saturday 3:45pm-at least 9:30pm & 9:30pm-3am (starting time could be 7pm from time-time)
• Holidays (hours vary depending on Holiday)
• Events (hours vary depending on the event)

The ideal Bartender will meet the following:

Requirements:

• 21 or older
• Have reliable transportation
• On time, dependable, and reliable
• Eager to work
• Sociable/People Person
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills to be able to interact effectively with customers and team members
• Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Able to bend and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and cleaned
• Proficient in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs

Qualifications:

• Bartending experience required
• Illinois BASSET preferred but not required. Must obtain within 1 week after hire
• Illinois Food Handler's Certificate preferred but not required. Must obtain within 1 week after hire

Bartender Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Check IDs and confirm they meet legal drinking age and laws
• Comply with all State, County, and Local Liquor and Gaming Laws
• Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences
• Interact with customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks
• Assess customer needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service
• Restock bar inventory and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using SkyTab POS system
