Role Description The Foreperson role is a full-time, on-site position based in Columbus, OH. This role oversees roofing crews, coordinates daily work activities, and ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. The Foreperson is responsible for assigning tasks, monitoring job progress, and verifying that materials, tools, and heavy equipment are used correctly and maintained appropriately. Day-to-day responsibilities include enforcing safety protocols, communicating with project managers and team members, reviewing plans and specifications, and resolving on-site issues. The Foreperson also contributes to training crew members, performing hands-on roofing and carpentry tasks as needed, and supporting maintenance and repair work on roofing systems.

- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, and customers, both verbally and in writing.
- Practical carpentry skills and familiarity with roofing construction methods, materials, and installation techniques.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of roofing systems, including troubleshooting issues and ensuring long-term durability.
- Knowledge of construction and roofing safety standards; ability to enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders; strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial roofing and prior foreperson or lead role experience is preferred.
