JOB SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between manufacturing operations and the customer to ensure accurate order processing, communication, and delivery coordination. This role supports daily customer service activities, maintains critical system data, and works closely with production, shipping, and internal teams to support customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
o Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner
o Maintain customer, order, shipment, and system records
o Coordinate shipments and communicate with internal teams and external carriers
o Compile, maintain, and distribute reports and documentation
o Create billing documentation including packing slips and related records
o Send and receive electronic customer data and EDI transactions as needed
o Assist with customer, item, and system setup within established processes
o Maintain accurate data within the company ERP/MRP system
o Communicate professionally with customers, production teams, shipping personnel, and management
o Support customer issue resolution and follow through on open items
o Maintain manufacturing supply inventory levels and create purchase orders as needed
o Participate in monthly and year-end physical inventories
o Maintain and build relationships with suppliers and vendors
o Maintain organized records, documentation, and work areas
o Support backup customer service and administrative functions as assigned
o Follow company safety policies and perform duties in a safe manner
o Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
o High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business management or accounting preferred
o Two or more years of customer service, manufacturing office, purchasing, or inventory management experience preferred
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to maintain professionalism and strong working relationships with customers and team members
o Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
o Typing proficiency and accurate data entry skills
o Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP/MRP systems
o Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
o Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
o Ability to sit for extended periods of time
o Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and computer work
o Ability to stand and walk occasionally throughout the workday
o Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
o Ability to push and pull up to 10 pounds occasionally
o Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching may be required
o Standard office and manufacturing environment exposure
