Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work independently in the field.
Duties
- Install and configure refrigeration systems according to specifications and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning refrigeration equipment using various tools including an ohmmeter.
- Conduct field service visits to assess customer needs and provide timely solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure seamless operation of all refrigeration units.
- Follow all safety protocols while working in various environments, including industrial settings.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics related to refrigeration systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience as a service technician or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter effectively.
- Experience in plumbing and boiler systems is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for field service responsibilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in maintaining equipment functionality.
