Wholesale Nursery Team Member

This is a hands-on position that combines customer interaction with all aspects of nursery yard operations. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about Pacific Northwest landscape plants, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to helping customers while maintaining an organized, attractive nursery.

Position Responsibilities

· Welcome and assist wholesale customers by helping them locate and select plant material.

· Accurately identify Pacific Northwest landscape trees, shrubs, and perennials using both common and botanical names.

· Read and accurately match plant names, botanical names, product numbers, and customer orders.

· Count, organize, and prepare plant material by size and variety for customer pickup and delivery.

· Load customer orders safely and efficiently using articulated loaders and other equipment (training available for the right candidate).

· Water, prune, shape, and care for nursery inventory as needed.

· Assist with irrigation, inventory organization, and general nursery maintenance.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursery yard.

· Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure accurate order fulfillment and excellent customer service.

· Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and standards of conduct.

Qualifications

· Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

· Knowledge of Pacific Northwest landscape plants and familiarity with botanical names is strongly preferred.

· Basic pruning knowledge is preferred.

· Experience with plant watering and general plant care is a plus.

· Experience operating articulated loaders, forklifts, tractors, or similar equipment is a plus, or willingness to learn.

· Familiarity with irrigation systems is a plus, or willingness to be trained.

· Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately identify, count, and organize plant material.

· Able to transition easily between tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

· Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.

· Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

· Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
