We’re a $50M heavy civil contractor specializing in commercial and industrial sitework, including mass excavation, underground utilities, and soil stabilization. Our team has built a reputation for safety, quality, and solving the clients issues before they become problems.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help move our company—and our clients—forward.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, and engineers
- Identify and track upcoming commercial and industrial projects
- Position JB Holland early in the project lifecycle—before bidding begins
- Support the pursuit and closing of projects ranging from $1M to $20M
- Help grow our soil stabilization division as a key differentiator
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in construction (civil, sitework, or commercial construction preferred)
- Understanding of how projects are pursued, bid, and awarded
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a long-term, strategic mindset
- Existing industry relationships are a plus

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus tied to results. Vehicle allowance and flexible work structure provided.
Location
Based in Iowa (Des Moines area preferred), with travel throughout Iowa and the Upper Midwest.
