Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the crews out on the field with driving materials to job sites. Keeping the shop clean and helping others when needed
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine daily inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Operate forklifts as required for moving materials within the warehouse.
- Unload and load trucks for delivery to job sites.
- Load materials for crews at job sites and deliver.
- Help with inventory counts
- Help others when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not mandatory; training and certification will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and perform manual tasks.
