Essential Functions
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The Receptionist works at the front desk or reception area, interacting regularly with visitors, clients, and staff. The role requires the ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods, use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. A high level of professionalism, organization, and confidentiality is expected at all times.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The physical demands of this position include prolonged periods of sitting and standing at the reception desk, frequent use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment, and occasional walking throughout the facility. The role requires clear and frequent communication to greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, and provide information in person and over the phone. The position may also involve reaching, bending, or lifting light office materials such as files or packages, typically up to 10–15 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-union position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30pm.
Travel
Some travel may be required for this position.
Required Education And Experience
High school diploma and one year of administrative experience required.

- Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate employee with a friendly, welcoming and courteous tone
- Greets and directs visitors to the company
- Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel
- Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, project manager names and phone numbers, where to send bids for submittal and other related information
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail
- Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
- Assists with other related clerical duties such verifying certified payroll from subcontractors, assisting project management with document tracking
- 1 years of relevant experience
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
- Working knowledge of computers, and other office equipment, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, a multi-line phone system, emailing, scanning, and adaptable to web based program tracking
