Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Availability Required: Open availability, including weekends and holidays

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, support clinical operations, and help ensure a safe and efficient healthcare environment. Candidates must be dependable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or License required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
• Current First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross required.
• Current N-95 Fit Test required.
• TB test completed within the last 12 months required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor.

Schedule Requirements

• 12.5-hour shifts.
• 3 shifts per week.
• Must have open availability.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
