What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving/Stock position at Jayco Inc?
Purpose: This position exists to perform receiving functions for all incoming product ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met and product is stored in proper location under supervision of warehouse manager or supervisor.
Essential functions:
- Process inbound freight and small package shipments.
- Validate packing slip and product accuracy.
- Coordinate with inventory control, purchasing and outside vendors when issues arise.
- State and house product in proper location in timely manner.
Additional functions:
- Assist other departments as directed.
Experience/ Knowledge:
- Previous receiving experience in a warehouse environment (minimum of 1 year is required; 1-2 years is desired).
- Forklift experience is desired, but Jayco training is required upon hire.
Necessary Skills & Abilities:
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly in a fast paced warehouse environment.
Work Requirements:
- This position may require working in extremes in temperature while performing moderately physical activity.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked.
- Regular attendance is essential.
