A Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in providing daily care to elderly or disabled residents in a long-term care facility. Monitoring and Reporting: Observe residents’ health and report any significant changes in condition to the nurse or healthcare provider. Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate. Feeding Assistance: Aid residents who require assistance with eating, including providing meals, ensuring proper nutrition, and feeding as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including daily logs and medication reminders.
