Join our dynamic team as a CDL-A Regional/OTR Driver and take charge of delivering freight across regional and over-the-road routes with energy and precision! This role includes 2 or 3 days per week on the road, and the remainder in our office, assisting with administrative duties for our fleet.
Duties
- Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including manual transmission trucks, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds,and liftgate trailers.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure cargo safety and integrity.
- Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to maximize delivery efficiency.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns before hitting the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Assist with freight handling tasks such as load securing, trailer swaps, or yard work when necessary to support operational flow.

Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with confidence and control.
- Familiarity with various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, and liftgates.
- Strong route planning skills to optimize delivery schedules across regional or over-the-road routes.
- Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
- Knowledge of load securement techniques for different freight types to ensure safety during transit. - Must have or be able to gain a hazardous materials endorsement.
- Must have at least one year out of the last 3 years in a provable over-the-road operation with a Class A truck.
- ***This position will be a part-time drive/part-time administrative function with guaranteed pay out of Whitehall, Michigan***
- Health Insurance available after 90 days. Premiums fully paid.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
