Duties
- Greet patients warmly, answer multi-line phone systems, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using Dentrix dental office management software
- Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle collections with accuracy and professionalism
- Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar updates and patient flow to maximize productivity
- Review and update patient records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of health information
- Assist with insurance verification, billing, coding and documentation review for accurate dental billing and coding processes
- Support administrative tasks including filing, faxing, data entry and maintaining organized records
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dental front office setting with familiarity using dental software- Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, coding and insurance processes
- Eager to learn, reliable/dependable
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional appearance
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and ability to handle sensitive patient information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; strong organizational skills combined with attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
