Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shipping and Receiving Specialist role based in Mansfield, OH. The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving inbound materials, verifying documentation, and inspecting shipments for accuracy and damage. This role coordinates the packing and preparation of outbound orders, including labeling, documentation, and loading materials for shipment. Daily tasks include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, unload, and store inventory safely and efficiently. The specialist also maintains accurate inventory records, performs cycle counts, updates the warehouse management or ERP system, and collaborates with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery and smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Shipping & Receiving processes, including handling documentation, verifying orders, and coordinating inbound and outbound freight.
- Hands-on experience with Packing and Unloading materials while following safety standards and protecting product quality.
- Experience in Inventory Control, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and basic data entry into inventory or ERP systems.
- Safe and efficient Forklift Operation, with the ability to move, stack, and stage materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required, stand for extended periods, and follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and reliable time management to meet shipping schedules and deadlines. Will be creating schedules
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with production, logistics, and other internal teams.
- Willingness to learn company systems and procedures; previous experience with warehouse management or ERP systems is a plus.
