Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Machinist at our Jacksonville, FL location. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual and CNC machines to fabricate and repair industrial parts. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting blueprints, using precision tools, performing quality checks, adhering to safety standards, and troubleshooting machine-related issues to ensure efficient operations. The role also involves collaborating with engineering and other technical teams to meet production and repair requirements while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating manual machines, setting up equipment, and tool machining techniques
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience in utilizing precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and addressing machine-related issues
- Knowledge of safety standards, workplace safety practices, and equipment maintenance
- High attention to detail and accuracy, along with excellent organizational skills
- Experience in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of industrial motors and mechanical components is a plus
- Relevant technical certifications, trade school training, or equivalent work experience is preferred
