Job Title: Flooring Salesperson

Reports To: Operations Manager (Direct); Vice President & President (Indirect)
Job Summary
The Flooring Salesperson is responsible for showroom flooring selections and inside and outside sales for residential new construction, commercial, and retail customers. This position supports company sales goals by providing product expertise, accurate proposals, and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist builder and retail customers with showroom flooring selections
- Generate and manage residential, commercial, new construction, and retail sales leads
- Provide inside and outside sales support, including customer meetings and follow-up
- Read basic blueprints to recommend appropriate flooring based on space, design, and material characteristics
- Prepare accurate bids, proposals, takeoffs, selection sheets, and cut sheets
- Process purchase orders and related sales documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and management to support scheduling and order fulfillment
- Maintain and grow customer relationships through quality service and follow-up
- Support showroom product oversight and assist with selecting new flooring products
- Serve as a key contact for assigned builder accounts
- Work effectively under deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Skills & Abilities
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related computer applications
