Job Overview
Job is Primarily Nights Mon-Fri 3-9 pm & weekends Sat/Sun (8a-3p & 3p-9P) We are seeking energetic, and customer-focused Cashier/Stockers to join our retail team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, handles transactions efficiently, and ensures a positive shopping experience & maintaining inventory re-stocking. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help drive sales, promote products, and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent service with a positive attitude.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision.
- Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout areas, including stocking and merchandising products.
- Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume.
- Follow proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Refilling & Restocking coolers /shelves.
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs.
- Ability to lift a min. of 30 lbs.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are beneficial for growth opportunities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves or merchandising displays.
