What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) position at Jax Spine & Pain Centers?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate fluoroscopic imaging equipment (C-Arm) during interventional pain management procedures.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain radiation safety standards for patients, physicians, and staff in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare imaging equipment, procedure rooms, and supplies prior to scheduled procedures.
- Verify patient identity and procedure information before imaging.
- Assist physicians during image-guided procedures while maintaining sterile technique when appropriate.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper operation and report equipment concerns as needed.
- Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention standards, and Company policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a safe, efficient clinical environment.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Current Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year of radiologic technology experience.
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and fluoroscopic imaging.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Experience operating C-Arm fluoroscopy.
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, surgery, or interventional procedures.
- Experience working in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory surgery center.
- Cross-training in procedure support or medical assisting is a plus.
