Commercial Roofing Estimator

We are a growing roofing and commercial construction company looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team. The right candidate knows how to read a job, put a number together that makes sense, and build proposals that win work.

What You'll Be Doing: Preparing accurate and competitive estimates for roofing and commercial construction projects from initial takeoff through final proposal. You'll be working across a range of project types including re-roofs, repairs, tenant improvements, and exterior work — so versatility matters.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience estimating in roofing and/or commercial construction
• Proficiency in estimating software (Beam, Xactimate, or similar platforms)
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and site conditions
• Strong understanding of how a project goes together from substrate to finish — materials, labor, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for proposal writing and client-facing documentation
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Nice to Have:

• Field experience in roofing or construction
• Familiarity with California building codes and local subcontractor market
• Experience with insurance/supplementing estimates (Xactimate)
