What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Occupational Therapist - Contracted position at JAWONIO INC?
$150 per evaluation
As an Occupational Therapist you will perform occupational therapy services to agency consumers. The OT will perform evaluations and design individual treatment plans. The successful candidate will maintain documentation regarding the type of therapy provided and the progress made. The OT may provide in-service training to other agency professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
General Responsibilities:
- CPSE evaluations
- Writing evaluation reports
- Generating goals
- Confers with teachers and other professionals regarding child’s function in classroom. Discusses with parents/guardian child’s level of function in classroom and appropriate therapeutic activities to perform
- Trains appropriate professionals and/or parents/guardians with appropriate therapeutic tools for activities of daily living and to improve functional performance.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s level or higher degree from an accredited occupational therapy program.
Pediatric OT: Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
Certificates and Licenses: Valid NYS licensure, NBCOT Certification
Additional Requirements:
- Required to be available for evenings or weekends based on current needs
- Daily access to an automobile is required. A valid NY State Driver’s License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
