Certified Nurse Assistant, Unit Clerk - Part-Time

OVERVIEW
This job supports patients and staff by processing orders, answering phones and call lights, directing visitors, and keeping medical records up to date. The role also handles patient charges, orders supplies, and may work in different hospital units as needed.

SCHEDULE: 24-hours per week
SHIFT: Days

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processes orders in an accurate and timely manner.

• Answers the telephone and call lights appropriately and provides information or relays messages to patients and staff.

• Directs visitors to the room of the patient.

• Maintains medical records of current patients.

• Processes patient charges and orders supplies as needed.

• Floats to various units based on identified need.

• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Completion of Unit clerk course or equivalent on the job training.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days.
