Duties
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store layout.
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales.
- Utilize upselling techniques to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and perform basic math calculations for transactions.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering processes and cash handling is essential.
- Basic math skills are required for accurate transaction processing.
