What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Barista position at Java Time LLC?
Are you a passionate barista ready for a full-time opportunity?
We are expanding our team at two dynamic locations: our original shop in Downtown La Mesa and our newly opened spot at SDSU.
We are seeking reliable baristas who can commit 30–35 hours per week. This role involves rotating between opening and closing shifts and working at both locations. Essential requirement: Must be available to work weekends.
Requirements:
- have at least 1 year experience of Barista
- comfortable operating espresso machine and grinder
ability to steam and texture milk properly for various drinks
- understand the different coffee beans
- friendly, positive, attitude and professional demeanor
- ability to handle customer complaints or special request effectively
- handling cash and operating POS system accurately
- excellent time management and multitasking skills to manage high volume of orders during rush hour
- ATTENTION to detail
- GREAT teamwork
- ability to clearly communicate and educate customers on menu items and offer recommendations
- Commit 30-35 hours a week
- Have weekend available
- Must be resident of San Diego
