Barista

Java Junkie in Springville is hiring full-time and part-time baristas for all shifts. Work in a fast-paced, fun environment, slinging top-quality drinks to amazing customers. Hourly wages starting at $9.00 per hour, and tips averaging $6.00 dollars per hour, with room to grow! We are looking for baristas with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.

Barista and Cashier
We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of specialty and traditional coffee drinks. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, taking and preparing orders, restocking product, and maintaining a clean work environment. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and a passion for creating and serving top quality coffee. You should be able to work weekends, and weekday afternoons from 12-7pm, in a fast-paced environment, and work well with other members of a team. Note: this position’s compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter
• Guide customers through menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Serve beverages and prepared food.
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the bar area and kitchen clean
• Maintain stock of clean cups and ingredients
• Check if equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
• Complete closing shift tasks including stocking, cleaning, and closing out tills.
