Tool Room Technician
Location: St. Charles IL
Schedule: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday)
A privately owned international manufacturer in the plastic packaging space is expanding its tooling team and bringing on a full-time Tool Maker Journeyman. If you enjoy precision work solving mechanical challenges and keeping high volume production running at its best this role offers the kind of hands-on problem solving that never gets old. You’ll work directly with molds tooling components and machining equipment while partnering with a team that values craftsmanship and relies on your expertise to keep operations moving.

What You’ll Do
- Build repair and maintain production molds and tooling with a focus on quality and precision
- Diagnose mechanical issues and restore tooling to production-ready condition
- Operate machining equipment and hand tools to fabricate or modify components
- Support mold changeovers and troubleshoot tooling performance on the floor
- Maintain documentation for repairs adjustments and preventive work
- Keep the tool room organized clean and running efficiently
What You’ll Need
- Journeyman-level experience in tool making machining or mold repair
- Strong understanding of mold components fits and precision tolerancing
- Ability to read tooling drawings and work from technical specs
- Hands-on experience with lathes mills grinders or similar machining equipment
- Comfort working in a fast-moving production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
