Senior Credit Underwriter
Drive confident credit decisions at a growing bank where risk discipline and customer outcomes both matter. This is a newly created, full-time direct hire role on a small, expert team that moves quickly, uses modern tooling, and prizes clear judgment.
What You'll Do:
- Underwrite consumer and small-business credit with crisp, well-supported calls
- Size risk using income, bank statements, tax returns, and bureau data
- Partner with collections to cut losses and improve repayment outcomes
- Spot anomalies and potential fraud while keeping policies and regulations tight
- Manage a steady pipeline with concise notes and timely communication
What You'll Bring:
- Banking experience in credit underwriting, risk, or collections
- Strong command of DTI, LTV, collateral, and credit file analysis
- Sharp judgment, accuracy under pressure, and clean documentation
- Proficiency with Excel and core underwriting systems
- Integrity, discretion, and a customer-centered mindset
Additional Details:
- Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 Bonus Potential
- Location: Southbury, CT
- Type: Full Time / Direct Hire
- Schedule: Onsite Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Hybrid: After training, a couple of WFH days per week
