Who We Are:
Jasper Mountain is a treatment family, and a place of hope for children and parents who search for answers. Since 1982, we have been growing and learning along with the children and families we serve. Jasper Mountain is many things but there is nothing quite like it anywhere!
Jasper Mountain provides a continuum of programs that meets the needs of emotionally disturbed children and their families. Services include an intensive residential treatment program with a therapeutic school, a short-term residential center, treatment foster care program, community based program and crisis response services.
What We Do:
With a primary mission to offer help and hope for children and families, Jasper Mountain has developed specializations in areas such as attachment issues, sexual reactivity, anti-social and violent behavior and treating severe trauma. We have experience with adopted children including foreign adoptions and subsequent challenges for parents. All programs are guided by the agency philosophy to treat the intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of the child – thus treating the whole person. Jasper Mountain currently works with children from around the United States and is available for private placements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with program coordinators and directors as well as other staff to complete the
following responsibilities:
- Maintain the facilities where the children live in appropriate condition.
- Setting tables, serve snacks, meals and assist in supervising the children during these times.
- Clean up and sanitation following meals. This includes (but may not be limited to) dishes, counters, food carts, tables, chairs and properly labeling and storing any leftovers.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment as needed including the fridges and microwaves.
- Cleaning, organizing, and taking inventory of the pantries. Re-stocking in the residence and cafeteria as needed.
- Assist with unloading and delivering the food supply orders to the appropriate buildings.
- Disposing of garbage from the residence and kitchen areas once a day.
- Recording and documenting fridge and freezer temps daily.
- Assist with the daily needs of the children and employees who work in the programs with attention to cultural sensitivity and special needs as directed.
- Assist with clothing, supplies, transportation and/or other needs of the children and programs as needed.
- Perform other functions as directed.
Compensation:
This position starts at $22.30 depending on experience.
Schedule
This position has a schedule of Saturday - Wednesday, 10:00am - 6:30pm.
Supervision:
The position is under the supervision of the Support Services Coordinator.
