Position: Program Coordinator
Department: Juvenile Division
Reports to: Chief Juvenile Officer
Position Status: Regular, Full-Time
Starting Salary: $55,000
Basic Function and Responsibility: This is responsible professional work involving the research, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of programs and services for the Jasper County Circuit Court Juvenile Division. The employee identifies evidence-based and evidence-informed programs that address the needs of youth and families and assists in developing the systems necessary to successfully implement and sustain those programs across the Juvenile Division. Work is performed under the direction of the Chief Juvenile Officer. The employee is responsible for coordinating program implementation, developing procedures and workflows, delivering curriculum to youth and families, measuring program outcomes, coordinating training, monitoring program performance and fidelity, and preparing reports and recommendations for Juvenile Office and Court leadership.

Researches and identifies evidence-based and evidence-informed programs, interventions, and practices applicable to juvenile justice populations.
Evaluates potential programs for effectiveness, feasibility, cost, staffing and training requirements, and compatibility with Juvenile Office operations.
Makes recommendations to the Court Administrator and Chief Juvenile Officer regarding new programs, services, and opportunities for program improvement.
Coordinates the implementation of approved programs throughout the Juvenile Division, including development of implementation plans, timelines, procedures, workflows, and supporting materials.
Works with supervisors and staff to integrate new programs into existing Juvenile Office operations and assists in resolving barriers to successful implementation.
Develops systems and processes necessary to support program delivery, data collection, accountability, consistency, and long-term sustainability.
Establishes measurable goals, performance indicators, and outcome measures for Juvenile Office programs and services.
Collects, tracks, analyzes, and reports program data to determine participation, completion, effectiveness, and other relevant outcomes.
Monitors program implementation and fidelity and recommends modifications or corrective action when needed.
Prepares program reports, statistical summaries, presentations, and recommendations for Juvenile Office and Court leadership.
Identifies staff training needs associated with new and existing programs and coordinates training with internal and external instructors, consultants, and program developers.
Develops or assists in developing training materials, reference guides, program manuals, policies, procedures, and other implementation resources.
Administers programs and provides ongoing technical assistance and support to staff responsible for administering or delivering programs.
Facilitates meetings, workgroups, and implementation teams related to program development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
Collaborates with community agencies, treatment providers, schools, law enforcement, courts, state agencies, and other stakeholders when appropriate.
Assists with grant-supported programming, including program development, implementation, performance measurement, documentation, and reporting as assigned.
Performs related work as required.

Knowledge of program development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement principles.
Knowledge of evidence-based and evidence-informed practices applicable to juvenile justice and related services.
Ability to locate, review, and evaluate professional research and program information.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to organize multiple initiatives, establish timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and follow projects through implementation.
Ability to develop meaningful performance measures, analyze data, identify trends, and communicate program outcomes.
Ability to develop practical systems, procedures, workflows, policies, and program documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, recommendations, and training materials.
Ability to coordinate and facilitate training, meetings, workgroups, and implementation teams.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, solve problems, manage competing priorities, and meet established deadlines.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with Juvenile Office staff, judicial officers, community partners, service providers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
Knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, databases, and software used for program tracking and reporting.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, public administration, education, behavioral sciences, business administration, project management, or a closely related field preferred.
Experience in juvenile justice, criminal justice, social services, program development, program evaluation, project management, behavioral health, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and competencies may be considered in combination with education.
