Jasmine Thai & Sushi is looking for dependable kitchen team members who are interested in Asian cuisine, wok/stir-fry cooking, and sushi rolling.
Experience with Asian cuisine, wok cooking, stir-fry, sushi, or other restaurant kitchen cooking is a big plus — but we are also willing to train the right person who has kitchen experience, a strong work ethic, and wants to learn.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop specialized cooking skills and grow with an established restaurant.
What You Can Learn & Do
- Cook Asian dishes using a high-heat wok
- Learn proper wok and stir-fry techniques
- Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, rice, noodles, and other ingredients
- Learn sushi rolling and sushi preparation
- Develop knife skills and fish-preparation techniques
- Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Assist with food prep and cooking during busy shifts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
- Clean and maintain cooking equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Assist with dishwashing and other BOH responsibilities as needed
- Restock ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Work closely with cooks and kitchen management as part of a team
Who We Are Looking For
- Restaurant kitchen or cooking experience preferred
- Experience with Asian cuisine, wok/stir-fry cooking, sushi, hibachi, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, or similar cuisine is highly preferred
- No Asian cuisine experience? We will consider applicants who have restaurant kitchen experience and are motivated to learn
- Willing to be trained on high-heat wok cooking
- Willing to learn sushi rolling and preparation
- Good knife skills are a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods and work around heat
- Must be available for evenings and weekends
- Must have availability for shifts between 10:00 AM–9:00 PM; some full-day schedules may include approximately a 1½-hour break
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
