SUMMARY:
The Domestic Transport Specialist will manage, and process transactions related to domestic transportation, covering trucking across border locations as well as local deliveries to customer plants, warehouses, or direct clients. Responsibilities include handling daily operational tasks and administrative duties, such as coordinating driver schedules, overseeing the loading and unloading of trailers, managing cross-docking activities, and providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Provide accurate quotes for shipments.
- Monitor shipment status, provide updates, and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Anticipate customer needs to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Work closely with sales and other team members to address customer concerns proactively, contributing to improved business performance.
- Organize domestic shipment logistics in a professional and efficient manner.
- Minimum of 2 years in domestic truckload operations.
- Familiarity with transportation, trucking, and delivery processes, as well as experience with tracking and tracing IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to meet performance targets and deadlines.
- Skillful in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Able to perform essential duties safely.
- Required 2 years’ experience working in transportation or domestic trucking.
- Preferred experience working in CargoWise (C1), and ExWorks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
