Jars of Play is a pediatric speech therapy practice in Prosper, TX. Through individualized, compassionate therapy, we help clients build functional communication skills that reduce frustration, strengthen relationships, and give families tools they can use at home.
We're hiring a part-time SLPA because our afternoon schedule is full and we have a waitlist of families ready to begin. Adding a clinician lets us reach those families sooner and give them the care they need without delay.

The role
You'll work under the direct supervision of our licensed SLP co-owners, providing 1:1 therapy to clients ages 2 to adult. Our caseload spans autism spectrum communication, gestalt language processing / natural language acquisition (NLA), socio-pragmatic language, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), stuttering, articulation, phonology, apraxia of speech, feeding, receptive-expressive language, and executive functioning. We serve Korean- and Spanish-speaking families alongside English-speaking ones.
Our co-owners conduct all evaluations and write each plan of care, then match clients to you based on your strengths and each family's needs. You implement those plans through direct therapy, so your focus stays on the sessions themselves rather than assessments or planning. There is no productivity quota.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing therapy following the plans of care written by your supervising SLP
- Tracking session data and writing daily SOAP notes for SLP co-signature in our EHR, due by Friday evening each week
- Sharing weekly progress updates with families and supporting home carryover
- Coordinating attendance and makeup appointments
- Planning and preparing session activities and materials
- Setting up and cleaning therapy rooms and disinfecting equipment between sessions
Qualifications
- Current Texas SLPA license through TDLR, or eligibility to be licensed before your start date
- Bachelor's degree meeting Texas SLPA requirements
- Experience with pediatric caseloads preferred
- Works well under the supervision and direction of a licensed SLP — follows the plan of care as written and communicates openly with your supervising SLP
- A collaborative approach that keeps families informed and supports home carryover
- Comfort documenting to deadline
- Spanish/English fluency is a strong plus, given the families we serve

We do not currently offer medical, retirement, or PTO at the part-time level. Building those out is a goal as the clinic grows, and we'd rather state that plainly than leave it unsaid.
