Construction Project Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team for Street, Road, Highway, and Heavy Civil Construction. Responsible for developing cost estimates for large heavy civil projects involving earthwork and underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Experience with developing accurate & reliable estimates for earthwork projects
• Provide high-level scoping of the project to create estimate summaries and outsourcing control worksheets
• Ability to understand plans & specifications to determine project requirements
• Ability to do takeoffs and project modeling to create detailed proposals
• Knowledge of construction & estimating software
• Clean Motor Vehicle R and respectable employment history
• Required to have 1 Foreman’s meeting per week to review current Schedule, RFI’s, Change Orders, and Issues (Via Zoom or in person)
• Communicate with the Foreman daily to ensure the Forman has all the information and answers to all his questions that arise
• Manage cost codes to ensure all tracking is up-to-date and accurate (if applicable to your projects)
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator or similar role for 5 years
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
• Must be familiar with all Microsoft Office programs and bidding software.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
• Must have excellent leadership skills, be a strong communicator, and have a “take ownership” attitude.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% of your time.
• Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plus

Requirements

• 3 years of Heavy Civil Construction estimating experience for utilities, water sources, street, road, and highway
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Exceptional computer skills
• Proficient in ProCore, MS Suite plus
• Certificates, License, and Registrations are a plus
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a safe driving record
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions that add value to the client and the company.
• Experience:
• Construction Project Estimator: 3 years Preferred in Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil
• General Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil for 3 years
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Equivalent work experience will be considered.

• Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
