This position involves extensive travel to client job sites to perform wiring, upgrades, and troubleshooting of PLC systems and related components including I/O, safety circuits. Programming is not required but the ability to assist in guided troubleshooting is essential.

Travel & Overtime Expectations- Automation and Controls Technician:
- Must be willing to travel 100% and work extended OT hours July-November.
- Holiday break starts mid-November, work resumes early January.
- This is a 3 year project with potential for growth and long-term employment.
Responsibilities- Automation and Controls Technician:
- Travel to job sites to perform upgrades on existing PLC-based control boxes
- Report to Bentonville, AR office to collect tools, supplies, and company vehicle
- Wire and reconfigure PLC I/O in control panels; maintain clean, well-organized layouts
- Perform guided troubleshooting and basic adjustments with remote support
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel layouts
- Work closely with on-site electricians and spotters to complete tasks safely and efficiently
- Maintain consistent communication with project managers and field supervisors
- Ensure each installation meets company quality and safety standards
- Complete each assignment on schedule before proceeding to the next job
Qualifications- Automation and Controls Technician:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems and panel wiring
- Familiarity with Siemens PLC hardware
- Able to read and interpret control schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience working with VFDs, HMIs, and safety switches preferred
- Highly organized and attentive to detail in tight wiring environments
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Able to pass a 7-year background check and drug test
- Willing and able to travel regularly and work extended hours July – November.
