Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and bilingual Korean-Speaking Medicare Insurance Agent to join our team as an independent contractor (1099).
This position offers a flexible work arrangement, with remote, in-person, or hybrid options available depending on candidate location and business needs.
The ideal candidate is fluent in Korean and English and has experience in sales, customer service, insurance, or a related field. The agent will educate prospective clients about Medicare and other insurance products, evaluate their needs, recommend suitable coverage options, and develop lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Engage prospective clients through outside sales and direct client outreach.
- Provide personalized consultations regarding Medicare and health insurance plans.
- Explain insurance benefits, coverage options, and plan features.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide professional communication and exceptional customer service.
- Manage leads, appointments, follow-ups, and customer information using CRM systems.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other administrative tools.
- Analyze client requirements and recommend suitable health, life, property and casualty, and commercial insurance products.
- Stay current on insurance products, industry developments, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate sales and client records.
- Follow applicable insurance regulations and company procedures.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance expectations.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Korean and English — bilingual proficiency required.
- Previous experience in outside sales, retail sales, insurance sales, or a related customer-facing position.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Ability to explain complex insurance information clearly.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Knowledge of Medicare, health insurance, life insurance, property and casualty, or commercial insurance is highly desirable.
- Insurance sales or benefits consulting experience is preferred.
- Self-motivated, professional, organized, and results-oriented.
Compensation
$30,085.38 – $86,812.49 per year
