JAR Cannabis Co. is seeking an experienced, driven Retail Store Manager to lead our Kittery, Maine location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and is excited to operate in Maine’s highly regulated adult-use cannabis industry.
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, inventory management, cash handling, customer experience, compliance, and team performance. This leader will work closely with assistant managers and budtenders to maintain a high-performing, welcoming retail environment while ensuring strict adherence to Maine cannabis regulations.
This role requires strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to lead from the floor. During off-season and weekday operations, the Store Manager should expect to regularly engage in budtending and work within a lean team structure.
Managers hired externally will complete a 2–4 week paid training program at another JAR retail location prior to assuming full store leadership.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in retail operations, sales, or management
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfort operating in a highly regulated, evolving industry
- 21 years of age
